Description of Role

We are hiring for a detail-oriented and driven head of business development to increase company revenue by identifying profitable business opportunities and developing long-term business growth strategies. To be successful as a head of business development, you should be persuasive and have strong business acumen. Ultimately, an exceptional director of business development should be adept at negotiating sound business deals as well as demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Role

A strong character who can think out of the box, is proactive, flexible and adaptable as role demands. 

  • Recommending ways to improve operations planning, attending meetings with clients and advisors, and notifying partners of key business developments. 
  • Assessing business risks by analyzing financial, statistical, and economic data.
Some examples of your role:
  • Building solid relationships with investors, potential partners and distributors, as well as sales and marketing teams.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities.
  • Directing marketing efforts by presenting market research to marketing directors and suggesting strategies to expand market research.
  • Assessing marketing and sales as well as supplier and vendor operations and recommending improvements as needed.
  • Preparing all documentation required for requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Researching emerging trends and recommending new company offerings to satisfy customers’ needs.
  • Developing and managing strategic partnerships to grow business.
  • Presenting business or marketing opportunities to company executives and management.
  • Selecting automation software and software platforms that best meet company needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or related field; master’s degree is advantageous.
  • Proven business development, sales, or marketing experience in blockchain, metaverse  or crypto is preferable
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills.
  • Strong business acumen of the metaverse and blockchain industry
  • Detail-oriented and persuasive.
  • Fluent English – International background and ability to speak other languages is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Extremely organized, able to manage time effectively, and comfortable working across time zones and multiple projects.
  • A relevant network to help find aspiring entrepreneurs and unearth exciting new startups.
Conditions
  • India preferred; remote possible
  • Experience in a private equity fund is a plus, but not a necessity
  • Strong network in crypto is a plus
